Carla began her studies of Yoga in 1969 and has trained with many notable teachers. Her blend of the gentle, spiritual side from her first teacher Indra Devi, and the dynamic, precise alignment style of B.K.S. Iyengar, combined with her array of Dance Therapy training techniques, give Carla's classes the experience of creative adaptability and sensitivity for which she is known.
Her most recent training has led her to become a Certified Viniyoga instructor with the American Viniyoga Institute. She is presently enrolled in the Viniyoga Therapist Training Program with Gary Kraftsow and T.K.V. Desikchar.
Currently Aleili is the director for the exciting Middle Eastern Dance troupe "Veils of the Nile" whose performances wow the crowds with their fabulous costumes and use of swords and finger cymbals.
